What our customers say about us...

I want to let you all know, all who were involved in specifying and making, by the hands of skilled craftsmen, locally in Isleworth, and especially Paul, who fitted them, that I could not be more delighted with the work you have all done. Paul is a skilled and conscientious craftsman of the highest order, and it was a pleasure to have him in the house.

Paul regarded the work as straightforward; it did not look at all straightforward to me; he worked hard each day to complete the work in the four days that were specified originally. He left the bay window area spotless when he left. There were never any excuses, there was no need for any excuses, for the work in the factory and on site in my house was done with the greatest professionalism and precision, and nothing was ever late or out of place, of ill-fitting. The finished windows are clearly the work of a true craftsman and the skilled people in the factory who made these beautiful windows by hand.

The front of my 1906 house, with its square bay window, is now a place of light and beauty, newly painted by Paul, carefully and with precision. The delicate soft white paint, inside and out, is beautiful. The silence is something new for my large front room and the absence of dust, which would always appear through the ill-fitting original sash windows, is a real bonus of my new, hand-made wooden sash windows.

I have the greatest pleasure in recommending Refurb-a-Sash to my friends and neighbours; indeed I have already done so with a friend in Wimbledon who also needs to replace her front sash windows. I will encourage her to go ahead with the company.

Thank you all for work you have done. My new windows will give great pleasure and many benefits for years to come.

Refurb-a-Sash has just completed my third batch of replacement sash windows – these keep warmth in, noise (especially planes on their way into Heathrow) out and are a joy to be able to open and shut with just one finger – they slide up and down SO easily.

They are the perfect replacement for those being removed from a house built in 1892. The quality is superb, and so too is the work of the charming chaps who come and install them. Their coffee intake at times was pretty dramatic, but so was their level of work – dormer windows three stories up needed scaffolding, so these were the most difficult ones yet. The men leave the house cleaner than when they came, as clearing up after themselves is all part of the superb service. In all I have nine replacement windows in six rooms …. still more to go! I wouldn’t dream of going to anyone else.

From start to finish I had an excellent experience with Refurb-a-Sash.

The job was pretty big, to refurbish all the original single glazed draughty and hard to open sash windows in a 6-bedroom Victorian house. The trickiest job being to incorporate the 3 original stained-glass panes in the front bay window. I could not have been more thrilled with the end results, double glazed units, easy to open and close and no wind whistling through the gaps.

The front bay is an excellent piece of workmanship, which they should justifiably be proud of! And still some 13 years later I’ve not had to repaint the frames yet. All in all, I highly recommend you use Refurb-a-Sash and hope you will be as happy as I have been with their professionalism and craftsmanship.

We have received a truly exceptional service from Refurb-a-Sash from beginning to end. I would recommend them to anyone.

After 15 years carrying out property improvements in London, I have learnt to expect a level of hassle in any change. This was the first time that this was absolutely not the case. The Surveyor was highly knowledgeable, explained what needed to be done and how the refit would take place. He was very patient with the numerous questions we asked. What he said – and documented in detail – would happen was exactly what did happen.

The two fitters we had at the house were an absolute pleasure to have around. They left the house secure and clean every night, taking particular care with our nursery, so our little one didn’t even notice what was going on. What was particularly impressive was that after replacing seven widows – restoring at least four to their original sizes – we do not have any redecorating to do at all. That really speaks to the care they took and the pride they have in the exceptional standards of their work. The windows themselves look fantastic.

Our home is instantly warmer, quieter and smarter. If I had known it would all go this smoothly, I would have had the windows replaced years ago. I am very grateful to Refurb-a-Sash and would not hesitate to use them again should we move in the future. They say exactly what they are going to do, and then do exactly what they said they would do.

What a pleasure to deal with you guys at Refurb-a-Sash.

I wanted to say thank you for responding so quickly and efficiently for the window at Grosvenor Road. Whilst writing, please send my thanks to the guys who installed our windows here at Mount Ararat Road. One window in particular was quite tricky and your craftsmen worked quickly, efficiently and are so polite and reliable. It is a rarity to experience this service level and I really appreciate it. I will not hesitate in using you again or recommending you every time.
