Refurb-a-Sash Ltd was established in 1992 with a straightforward purpose: to offer London homeowners a genuinely sympathetic alternative to replacing their period sash windows with uPVC. Over 30 years later, we remain one of West London’s most respected sash window companies, doing exactly what our name suggests — repairing, refurbishing and replacing original timber windows to the highest possible standard.
We are an award-winning company, proud holders of the Best of Houzz Service Award for seven consecutive years, and recipients of a Design and Conservation Award from the London Borough of Richmond. Everything we make is handcrafted at our 13,500 sq ft workshop in Isleworth by our own directly employed team of time-served craftsmen. We cover most of West London, South West London and parts of Surrey.
What began as a small specialist repair business in East Sheen in 1992 has grown into one of London’s most respected sash window companies — with a reputation built entirely on the quality of our craftsmanship and the satisfaction of our customers.

| 1993 | Launched a double-glazed version of the traditional corded sash window — one of the first companies in London to do so. |
| 1990s | Relocated to Kew then Twickenham, expanding the team and developing our acoustic glazing range in response to clients near the Heathrow flight path. |
| 1998 | Received a Design and Conservation Award from the London Borough of Richmond, and recognition for our environmental policies including an all-electric Modec delivery van. |
| 2011 | Moved to our current 13,500 sq ft headquarters in Isleworth TW7 — purpose-built for joinery, glazing, painting and finishing. |
Every window and door we make is manufactured entirely at our Isleworth workshop by our own directly employed craftsmen. We control every stage of production in-house — joinery, spray painting, glazing and hand finishing — so we can guarantee quality at every step. We faithfully replicate original period features using traditional joinery methods. We never use subcontractors.
