What is ‘Low E’ Glass ?

The Building Regulations now require all replacement windows & doors to meet stringent insulation standards. Low E glass is a product that helps us to meet these standards without affecting the quality of our finished products. ♻️

Low E glass (Low-Emissivity) is a type of glazing which contains a transparent microscopic coating to improve windows’ thermal efficiency.

Low E, or low emissivity glass, is 3 times more energy efficient than standard glass. It works by reflecting heat back into the room thereby reducing energy consumption. The product is a sheet included in the sealed unit and it can be used on either the inner or outer pane, may be toughened for safety purposes and used in combination with any other glass, such as acoustic laminate or privacy.
